Real-Life Harry Potter Searches Penn Station for Train to Hogwarts

Harry Potter is such a cultural touchstone for children and adults the world over, that it's easy to forget that the characters and the world they live in doesn't actually exist.

In Improv Everywhere's latest video, the viral prank group suspended reality for a few employees and travelers in New York City's Penn Station when a real-life Harry Potter lookalike strolled through the station in search of his train to Hogwarts.

The young Potter doppelgänger — complete with the character's signature monogrammed trunks and a would-be Hedwig perched in his cage — makes his way through Penn Station, asking transportation employees and fellow travelers for directions to the infamous Platform 9 3/4.

In one clip, the boy expresses frustration when he pushes his cart into the column between platforms 9 and 10 and, of course, fails to make it through to 9 3/4.

Why does this happen. When we mix milk with coke and let it sit, everything seperates out?

Ans : It is a reaction of the Phosphoric Acid contained in the coca cola to the milk. Phosphoric Acid molecules attach to the milk giving them more density and separate out while the remaining liquid that makes up the milk and cocoa cola now being lighter floats on top. The solid matter is basically milk that has been curdled by the addition of the more acidic soda.

Both items are acidic but coca-cola more so. In general, coca-cola has a pH of anywhere from 2.5-4.5 because of the Phosphoric Acid content where milk has a normal pH around 6.7 (almost neutral, milk that is in the base range is usually mastitic).

There are some studies to suggest that because of the high Phosphoric Acid content in most soft drinks that they can help to increase the likelihood that a person will develop Osteoporosis if they aren't getting enough Calcium in their diet. Coca-cola makes an excellent household cleaner - it can be used to take tarnish off of pennies and I've used it to degrease car engines. I will not drink any soft drinks.

Kmart's 'Jingle Bells' Ad Has Legs

Nothing rings in the holiday season like men in boxers thrusting to the tune of "Jingle Bells." Kmart unveiled its latest Christmas ad on Monday and it's quite a sight for the eyes.

The 1:00 spot features six men seemingly dressed in suits as they play bells behind a table. But when the table and bells are whisked away, they appear in Joe Boxers — Kmart's branded collection — and find a new way to keep the song going.





It's a simple concept, but you'll have to watch it in full (above) to appreciate the full effect.
